G'day, my name's Fergus. I'm a physio. These are some of the exercises and treatments that I like to use on my patients.
Alright, this is Hugo. He has a patellar tendinopathy in his left knee. I've shown him a strengthening exercise. It's an eccentric single leg decline squat. He's standing on a downhill ramp - a decline ramp. He's lowering on his left leg - lowering his body weight on his left leg. Raising his body weight on his right leg. So his quads and his patellar tendon is only doing the work of lowering his body weight. He's doing a set of fifteen. He's going to do three sets of fifteen for me, once a day. It's a great exercise for strengthening up his patellar tendon. It's the single leg decline squat - eccentric decline squat. Three sets of fifteen, once a day. Great for patellar tendinopathy.
